This is your opportunity to be one of the few people to explore the Budawangs by foot. Less known to tourists, the trip provides a truly wild adventure experience of Morton National Park in NSW.
The overnight hike commences at Wog Wog campground, where your guide will help you prepare for the journey into Cooyoyo Campground - the heart of the Budawangs. Along this 13km ‘each-way’ hike, you’ll encounter some of the wildest and remote mountain plaeaus, caves and gully’s. On a clear day, you’ll see all the way to the coastline with the famous Mt Didthul (Pigeon House Mountain) in the distance.
It’s an overnight hike that should only be considered by women with bushwalking experience, good fitness and a flexible approach. Although the hiking is not overly difficult, the longer distance, carrying items on your back and sections of rock scrambling will be counted as part of your truly unforgettable weekend in the wild.
All women on the trip should be flexible and open minded. The Budawangs trips should be seen as exploratory in the true sense of the word.

We’ll start the day meeting at Wog Wog Campground at 8.30am. After getting to know your fellow hikers and a trip briefing to go over gear and allocate items, you’ll head off, meandering through open forest, then onto an old 4WD track before entering a single foot track.
After an hour you’ll start to reach conglomerate outcrops in the bush. There is a large one on the right hand side of the track called Tinderry Lookout, and can easily be climbed, with extensive views to the west. You will be be amazed by the re-growth post fires and in awe of the resilience of the bush in this section.
From here, we head further into the Budawangs, rewarded with views of the south coast as we begin to reach Corang Arch where we will stop for lunch. Corang Arch is an incredible rock formation. You won’t believe it’s structure until you see it in person!
After lunch, we continue north, scrambling down rocks to reach the base of the valley. Huge rock formations tower above us as we begin are hike further into the valley to find camp.
Once at camp, you will have the chance to explore the magnificent caves and surrounding area without carrying your overnight pack. Our group will set up base, enjoy afternoon tea and a warm cuppa before setting up our tents for the night. Your guide will prepare a warm meal as you watch the sun set over the bushland and sit in awe at the magnificence of this place.
Awake from your tent for a warm cuppa and breakfast. After we pack up our gear, it's back out on the same trail from the day prior. We will stop along the way for morning tea and lunch. Today we may also have the opportunity (weather pending) to check out Corang Arch!
We will be back at our cars at Wog Wog between 2.30-3pm.

A wonderful experience
This would have to be my 6th or 7th trip with WWA. Had a great time with guide Tracy and the other women, some I had met on previous trips. Thoroughly recommended!
Coming back for the 2-nighter!
This trip is just incredible! I went on my first overnight hike with wwa on the Six Foot Track with guide Rachael and this was my second trip with guide Sophie. The weather was stunning and we got views as far as we could see! We only passed a couple out on a weekend hike the whole time. Sophie was a delight, cooking for us and helping us prepare our packs. Warm layers for nighttime and a good sleeping bag liner is required! But I did do this trip early June. 100% agree that 1 night is not enough out here, that would be my only fault but I'll be coming back for the Castle and the 2-nighter trip. Thank you so much Sophie and loved your Anzac biscuits!
Best overnight hike in NSW!!!
Can't believe I didn't know this place existed!!!
The whole trip went above and beyond my expectations. Tracy our guide is very knowledgeable as a local in the area and all we did was laugh. Trace went out of her way to help, leading the way during the hike but also making sure meal times and camp set up was perfect. I loved our campsite and sharing the experince with other women. Brilliant 5* from Stacy and I. Thank you!!!
