A DAY ON THE WATER...

After a meet and greet, we park our vehicles at the start point and prepare personal gear. We take a minimum number of vehicles to the put in at 'The Eildon Pondage Hydro Power Station' where we pump our rafts. After a safety and paddle brief and delicious morning tea, we will launch our vessels for our Great Goulburn River Adventure!

Women can expect to paddle a total of 8km on the first day and 16 km on the second day. There are 3 rapids to navigate on our first day. S Bend, The Pumpkins and the Horace Wave. You can make up funny names as you go too!

We will spend time at the last rapid, where women have the option to carry rafts up and run this rapid several times. We have a selection of gorgeous lunch spots available, with plans to soak in the sunshine and enjoy the experience. This river is teaming with wildlife. It s not uncommon to see fish jumping, sparrows feeding on the hatching insects and shy platypus.

Our camp for the night will be Gummies. This location is a flat grassy area and the best part is this location is only accessible by private property, so we will have it all to ourselves!

Women are encouraged to explore our waterfront home, take a swim or let the day slip away with a book in one of our hammocks.

Dinner will be served around 6:30pm, your guides Lauren and Ebony are passionate about food and specialty dishes include beef bourguignon, vegetarian curries, Hungarian beef casserole or Southern style pulled pork. Lauren is also a keen musician and will happily play a tune with a little prompting and Ebony singing!!

After a restful sleep, women wake at 7:30am and start the day right with fresh coffee, loose leaf tea, oats and fruit.

We will aim to be on the water by 9:30am for a relaxing meander paddle into Mcmartins take out and our original meeting location.
