Let s put the ladies on the Lady Carrington Drive Track for a Women Want Adventure Meet Up!

As part of our commitment to connect like-minded women in our community, we are hosting a FREE hiking meet up along the beautiful Lady Carrington Drive in The Royal National Park - Sydney.

The hike is a fire trail style in the beautiful bushland. It s an easy hike for all fitness levels and a nice way to go at your own pace, chat to new friends and catch up with members you may have met on previous trips.

Hike: We will walk for around 2 hours which will roughly take us to 12km in total. The whole track is just over 20km. The walk goes on a fire trail style track which is historic carriage route from Audley in the north to Sir Bertram Stevens Drive in the south. This easy Track is sure to make you feel like your getting in your morning walk in while you take in the views of the Hacking river, bushland and chat with other adventurous women.

DETAILS:

Meeting time: 8.00am

Meeting location: Start of Lady Carrington Drive. This is NOT the car park at the Audley Cafe. You will need to turn into where the cafe is and follow the Lady Carrington Road all the way to the end where there is a dirt car park. Do NOT cross over the white bridge otherwise you will be on the wrong side of the river. Look for the Women Want Adventure Flags.

Price: Free. Upon entry to The Royal National park you will need to pay the Park Entry Fee of $12

Food: Please bring a morning tea or plate to share after the hike on the lawn at Audley. This could be some cut up fruit, buscuits, cake etc.

HOW TO GET THERE:

From Sydney:

• Royal National Park's main entry points are along the Princes Highway
• Turn off the highway at either Farnell Avenue, just south of Loftus, or at McKell Avenue at Waterfall.
• Follow the road down to Audley and turn left at the Cafe. Head towards the white bridge but DON T DRIVE OVER. Keep on the road side of the bridge and follow the road to the very end where you will see a Car Park. We will we waiting here for you.

From Wollongong:

• You can reach the park along the Princes Highway, or via Otford which is north of Stanwell Park.

Roads in the Royal National Park can be extremely busy and traffic delays should be expected on weekends and public holidays during summer. For up to date traffic information we recommend people check www.livetraffic.com

WHAT TO BRING:

• Small Day Pack
• 2L Water
• Comfortable walking shoes as it can be slippery
• Sunscreen
• Hat
• Sunglasses
• Personal Items (medications/asthma puffer etc)
• Camera
• Plastic bag for rubbish
• Warm jacket/wet weather jacket

Please note: Women Want Adventure do not provide morning tea on the hike.

What if it's raining?

Women Want Adventure trips go ahead in all types of weather, except electrical storms. Please be prepared with a wet weather jacket and dry clothes to change at the end of the trip. This is a social event, so if it's raining it's up to you to attend! Remember it's an adventure!

How old do I need to be to attend?

Women Want Adventure trips are for women over the age of 18 years.
