This beautiful loop walk is an ideal Women Want Adventure meetup in Sydney, offering the perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded women and discover the joy of adventuring together on the weekends.

The hike features a mix of bushland, lush ferns, and dry sandstone terrain near Berowra Creek. It s an enjoyable, relaxed walk made even better by the company of a welcoming group of women.


About

The Blue Gum Hornsby Hike is a scenic loop that winds through native blue gum forest, traverses single tracks with stunning valley views, crosses a natural bridge called The Washpools, and descends to Fishponds Waterhole. The return route follows a fire trail back to Rosemead Road Park. Along the way, you may spot local wildlife, including echidnas, wallabies, and lace monitor lizards.

Are there bathrooms at the meeting location?
No, the nearest public bathrooms are at Hornsby Train Station (approx. 2km away).

Are there steps or steep hills on this hike?
There are a few steps and one steep hill, but it s not overly long. We ll take it slow, and our team will ensure all women feel supported, regardless of fitness or experience level.

Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, no pets are allowed on this hike.

My 15-year-old daughter would like to attend. Can she come?
We love encouraging young women to explore the outdoors, but these walks are for women over 18 years only.
