DESCRIPTION OF WALK:

Bushrangers Bay comprises of a sandy beach surrounded by basalt cliffs, the perfect location to soak up the atmosphere and get outside for a women's community walk. We will be starting at Bushrangers Bay and walking to Cape Schanck // return. This serene location is contrasted by the dark and brooding headlands and wild waves that often crash onto jagged rocks guarding the entrance to the bay.

Bushrangers Bay can be accessed from the Boneo Road car park and picnic area. This section of the Two Bays Walking Track passes along Main Creek and provides fine views and passes through shady Banksia groves. You also get views over the surrounding farmland and into the creek valley below. We will be returning to our cars at the Boneo Picnic Area.

SAFETY NOTE: Swimming is not recommended on the trip as the beach is unpatrolled and often hazardous due to strong rips and large waves.

FAQ S:

Are there bathrooms at the meeting place? Yes there are public bathrooms at the picnic area.

Can I turn up individually? Of course! Please come and meet other like-minded women in the VIC area. We are very friendly and create these free community walks for the purpose to connect all the ladies together.

Do I need to be really fit to attend this hike? This walk is suitable for all fitness levels. We walk at a slow pace and stop for rest breaks.

Are there steps involved? Yes, nothing extreme.

What will be the pace of the walk? Slow! Always slow with Women Want Adventure.

Can I bring my daughter, she's 15? Sorry. Women Want Adventure is a community group for women over the age of 18 years only.

Do I need to register or can I just turn up on the day? You must register for this walk. We only take 14 women on these hikes and want to know who is coming on the day.

Cancellation Policy:

We hope you do not need to cancel your trip, however if cancellation takes place the following will apply:

• More than 30 days before the trip there is no charge
• 29-15 days before the scheduled trip there is a 20% administration fee
• 14 days or less before the scheduled trip the full fee will be charged (100% of the participant cost).

Please be aware that if a participant cancels their trip once it commences or they do not show they also forfeit their full trip cost. Late arrival of a participant or participants on the day may also forfeit the full trip cost. Women Want Adventure may reduce, transfer or waive the loss of fee for any reason at their sole discretion.

In the event of adverse weather conditions, Women Want Adventure reserves the right to change, alter or cancel this trip in the interests of client safety. Women Want Adventure will notify all participants as soon as possible on the day.
