The Cowan to Brooklyn trail, a segment of the renowned Great North Walk, features an Aboriginal midden, follows Cowan Creek, and includes easy-to-navigate single tracks and fire trails descending into Brooklyn. Starting at Cowan station, our group will head to Jerusalem Bay, traverse ridges, enjoy coffee breaks, and then descend into Brooklyn. This scenic one-way journey offers multiple water views, a loop around Brooklyn Dam, diverse flora, and includes a healthy lunch.
Upon arriving in Brooklyn, we'll take the train back to Cowan station to conclude our hike.
"Our guide Molly was fantastic! She is obviously very passionate about her job and her patience and understanding of mature women walking was outstanding - her people skills and her knowledge of the local area was fabulous. 10/10 day on the trail. Thanks for the laughs and a great adventure!"

A challenging and hard walk, graded by the NSW National Park website. This walk has sections where the trail is moderate (along flat fire trail sections), but there are also sections with steep inclines and steps. Some sections can be slippery near the base of Jerusalem Bay due to tidal areas. There are boulders and larger natural steps in rocks for inclines and declines. Suitable for women who have good fitness and mobility.
