DESCRIPTION OF WALK:

Join us for a free community hike in the Dandenong Ranges . This walk enables you to witness changing vegetation passing through cleared areas of bush created by successive wildfires of the early 1900s and vegetable growing during World War II, towering Mountain Ash and Messmate Stringybark trees, wide variety of ferns and other wet and damp forest vegetation.

We are meeting at the Grants Picnic Area (where the bird feeding is). There is plenty of parking and bathrooms at the location. Lisa and Bri will be waiting for you.

FAQ S:

Are there bathrooms at the meeting place? Yes there are public bathrooms at the picnic area.

Can I turn up individually? Of course! Please come and meet other like-minded women in the VIC area. We are very friendly and create these free community walks for the purpose to connect all the ladies together.

Do I need to be really fit to attend this hike? This walk is suitable for all fitness levels. We walk at a slow pace and stop for rest breaks.

What will be the pace of the walk? Slow! Always slow with Women Want Adventure.

Can I bring my daughter, she's 15? Sorry. Women Want Adventure is a community group for women over the age of 18 years only.

Do I need to register or can I just turn up on the day? You must register for this walk. We only take 14 women on these hikes and want to know who is coming on the day.
