Women's Grand Canyon Hike Blue Mountains

Expansive vistas, narrow chasms, striking canyon scenery and a surprise around each corner.

A perfect Blue Mountains half day hike for women wanting to explore hidden gems in the Blue Mountains National Park.

This hike is mostly along a steady walking track that looks down into the canyon from above. Towards the end there is a dark enclosed stretch along the floor of the canyon itself with some steps to reach the end car park. A stunning walk of waterfalls and rainforest.

• Meeting time: 9.00am
• Meeting location: Evan's Lookout Car Park
• Finish time: Between 12.30-1pm
• Distance: 6km loop hike
• Grade: Easy to moderate. There are steps on this hike. The pace is slow
• Numbers: Small group of 10 women
• Cost: $99 includes booking fee

HOW FIT DO YOU NEED TO BE?

A basic/good level of fitness is required for this hike. We take regular breaks, stop for plenty of photos and support each other. Expect to be hiking up to 3.5 hours in total with a lot of rest breaks and chatting about plants and waterfalls.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Day pack (large enough to carry 2L water, rain jacket, personal belongings)
• Rain jacket
• Hat & sunscreen
• 2 Litres of water
• Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots
• Sunglasses
• Camera
• Sunglasses
• Personal medication
• Cup for coffee/tea (we have spares, due to Covid we think this is more hygienic)
• Hiking poles (optional)
• Warm clothing such as beanies/gloves during the winter months

HOW TO GET TO THE MEETING LOCATION:

Head on the Great Western Highway for 3 hours from Sydney until you reach the turn-off to Evan's Lookout. Go along Evan's Lookout Road for 2.9km until you see a car park area on your right. Your guide will be waiting for you in the car park area, walk over and say hi!

I have a gluten free diet, do you cater for me for morning tea? Yes. We have gluten free options.

What is the average age of women attending? Women between 25-65 years.

What type of toilet facilities will there be? There are bathrooms at Evan s Lookout.
