Calling all mothers and daughters to spend quality time together in the outdoors... kayaking!

This is our first special trip for Mothers and daughters and also women who wish to turn up individually to kayak down small rapids from Hampden Bridge to Bendeela Picnic Area. This is a fabulous trip for women and girls looking for an easy adventure with a little kayaking twist on the running water.

We are meeting in Kangaroo Valley which is a short 2-hour drive from Sydney. Our meeting location is at the Safaris Kayaking Shop to park our cars at 9.30am to leave at 9.45am for an easy 2.5 hour paddle (5km) from Hampden Brdige through Morton National Park to Bendeela Picnic Area.

Age requirements for all daughters: We advise for paddling strength reasons your daughter be over the age of 13 years. All women and girls will be in single kayaks. Perhaps your daughter is 30 years old.. that's fine too!

No previous kayaking experience necessary although we do recommend some basic level of fitness.

An instructional and safety briefing will be provided by your Leader Monique.

On this trip you will learn the basic paddling and body positioning techniques to help you tackle the rapids.

• All kayaking and safety equipment, including PDF's
• Instructions briefing
• Dry Bags
• Morning Tea- Including gluten free options, fresh fruit, coffee and tea
• Shuttle return from Beneela Picnic Area back to the meeting location at the Safaris Kayaking Shop
• First Aid
• All permits

WHAT TO BRING:

• Hat
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses
• Wet weather jacket. We still kayak in the rain!
• Shoes that can get wet. Sandals or old trainers.
• Water bottle (1L capacity with water in it)
• Swimwear
• Wear a light weight long sleeve shirt to protect yourself from the sun
• Towel
• Gym gloves (optional)
• Change of clothes for the end of the trip
• Waterproof camera (optional)

Please Note: Trips depart immediately at the designated Meeting Time at Safaris Kayaking Shop, Kangaroo Valley. Please note it is your responsibility to ensure you are on time and ready for departure. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure.

What's the cancellation policy?

We hope you do not need to cancel your trip, however ifcancellation takes place more than 30 days prior to your departure date, you will be refunded any amounts paid, less a 20% admin fee. If cancellation takes place between 30 and 15 days prior to your departure date, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited. If cancellation takes place less than 15 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited. Transfers from one person to another will not be permitted.

In the unlikely event of adverse weather conditions, Women Want Adventure reserves the right to change, alter or cancel this trip in the interests of client safety. Women Want Adventure will happily refund monies paid in the event that Extreme Wind or Dangerous Conditions be present at or before the commencement of the Women's Kayaking Adventure. Women Want Adventure will notify you by text at between 6am - 6.30am on the morning of the activity in the event of cancellation. Please ensure mobile phones are on and accessible at this time to ensure messages are received.
