Pigeon House Mountain Didthul in Morton National Park is a day hike that has it all. The reward far outweighs the short distance (5km return hike) epic views of the ocean, gorges and wilderness. Right near the town of Milton, it s a wonderfully different way to explore this beautiful part of the NSW South Coast.

On our hike, we begin by meeting in the small town Milton, car pool to the start of Pigeon House and return back to Milton between 2-3pm.

The hike is steep in parts and has ladders to reach the summit. It s a perfect hike to take it slow and embrace a sense of adventure. Together we will take 4 hours return (stopping for a morning tea/brunch) at the top.

DETAILS:

• Meeting location: Milton Rainbow Pie Shop "The Heritage Bakery" *It has a few names.
• Meeting address: 197-201 Princes Hwy, Milton NSW 2538
• Meeting time: 8.15am to leave at 8.30am. It takes about 45 minutes to drive to the base of Pigeon House from Milton on a dirt road. Please see notes in regards to cancelation in wet weather as the road will be closed
• Finish time: Between 2.30-3pm
• Date: Saturday 27th July 2019
• Numbers: 11 women maximum
• Cost: $89 pp + booking fee
• Grade: Moderate to challenging (there are steep sections/hills and ladders. We take it SLOW and work together as a group. This hike is not suitable if you have sore knees)

NOTES:

Please note that in heavy rainfall this trip will need to be cancelled. The dirt road to Pigeon House can be closed or not suitable for driving conditions in wet weather. We will contact you if this is the case.

Attend individually or with a friend. Our community is open to first timers, beginners to the outdoors and women looking to connect to a supportive group of like-minded women. We are very friendly.

FAQS

Will I be fit enough? I m worried I ll hold the group back. This hike is not far, but has a steep incline. We take is very slow and support each other. It s best if you have a basic level of walking fitness and comfortable to walk up steep hills and steps. There are ladders to climb up the top of the mountain which are secured.

What are the ages of ladies in the community? Women range between 28-65 years of age.

How far is Milton from Sydney? Please allow up to 3.5 hours to get from Sydney to Milton. It would be best to arrive the day/night before and make a weekend out of it!

Is there car pooling from Sydney? We don t organise car pooling from Sydney. Once we have all bookings, we can send around a group email to see if anyone is coming from the same area. We cannot guarantee lifts for you.

Cancellation Policy:

We hope you do not need to cancel your trip, however if cancellation takes place the following will apply:

• More than 30 days before the trip there is no charge
• 29-15 days before the scheduled trip there is a 20% administration fee
• 14 days or less before the scheduled trip the full fee will be charged (100% of the participant cost).

Please be aware that if a participant cancels their trip once it commences or they do not show they also forfeit their full trip cost. Late arrival of a participant or participants on the day may also forfeit the full trip cost. Women Want Adventure may reduce, transfer or waive the loss of fee for any reason at their sole discretion.

In the event of adverse weather conditions, Women Want Adventure reserves the right to change, alter or cancel this trip in the interests of client safety. Women Want Adventure will notify all participants as soon as possible on the day.

Cancelation due to weather:

Participants will hear from us if we need to cancel the day due to the weather. Participants must assume the day is going ahead if they do not hear from Women Want Adventures otherwise. If participants cancel their trip on the basis of weather (and we have not cancelled it ourselves) no refund will be given. If weather conditions cause us to cancel the trip we will offer alternative dates however if this option is not possible for participants refer to the Women Want Adventure Credit and Refund Policy.
