Women s Western Australia's Ningaloo Reef Sea Kayaking Adventure - 5 Days of Sea Kayaking on West Australia's Ningaloo Marine Park. This important coastal zone protects one of Australia s most important tracts of reef - the Ningaloo Reef. It is one of the longest fringing reef systems in the world and only one of two coral reefs in the world that have formed on the western side of a continent. The Ningaloo Marine park stretches from Bundegi Beach near Exmouth for 260 km along the West Coast to Amherst Point south of Coral Bay. The name 'Ningaloo' comes from the local Aboriginal people and means a 'promontory' or 'point' of high land jutting into the sea.
Our Adventure will be in the late June which is also the optimum time for Whale Sharks and Manta Rays and ample snorkelling opportunities daily will allow plenty of time for us to enjoy the Reef from above and below the water.
Included in this 8 Day package is a Full Day of Whale Shark Spotting and Snorkelling departing Exmouth which is heralded as one of the Worlds' Best Nature Experiences.
Sunday 24th June 2018 - Meet at Perth Airport for our Flight to Exmouth and transfer to our Private Bush Base Camp at "Bungelup" in the Cape Range National Park. Set up of our Swag or Tent Accommodation (your choice of either but I recommend the swag for the thousand star hotel feel at night and the sunrises over the range) and settle in for dinner and our first night in the Western Australian Bush. Camping gear included.
Monday 25th till Friday 29th June 2018 - Sea Kayaking Snorkeling Adventure in the Ningaloo Reef Logoon with vehicle transfers every day to and from our base in the Cape Range National Park. Our Kayaking Trip will lead you up or down the Coast experiencing all that the Ningaloo Reef has to offer. Daily snorkeling in the safe shallow calm clear Indian Ocean Reefs. Several beautiful walks into the desert gorges of Yardi Creek and Mandu Mandu make this a trip to remember.
Friday 29th June 2018 - Pack up Camp and head to the Novatel Ningaloo Resort for a 2 night luxury 4.5 star stay and relax knowing you have seen the best of the Ningaloo Reef Region.
Saturday 30th June 2018 - Whale Shark Expedition on board "Draw Card". This is a once in a Lifetime adventure swimming and Snorkeling with these incredible Creatures. Protected in Australia, the whale sharks cruise the Ningaloo Reef eating plankton from the surface enabling the perfect interaction for us to get up close and personal to these unbelievable fish. A full day of adventure including return transfers from Exmouth, snacks and lunch.
Sunday 1st July 2018 - Depart Exmouth for return to Perth and on to Sydney or the next Adventure. We will be at the Emouth Airport at 11am to be back in Perth Airport at 2pm.

Women Want Adventure
How old do I need to be to attend this trip?
Women Want Adventure Trips are for women only, and over the age of 18 years.
What if I get sick while on the trip?
If you are not feeling well at any time you will be able to stay at Base Camp or at the resort.
How physically fit do I need to be to attend this trip, I'm afraid I'll hold the group back. This trip is suited for beginners. You do not need any kayaking experience.
I have a gluten free diet, do you cater for me? Yes. You are required to inform us of your dietary requirements prior to departure. We will then be able to cater for you.
Is there walking involved in land, and if so, how much?
There are two walks we undertake to Yardi Creek Gorge and Mandu Mandu Gorge.
Both of these are classed as easy and are about 1.5 hours and 2 hours respectively. Although they are classed easy it is advisable to have good walking shoes as it is a desert environment and the trail is somewhat rocky. We also ensure plenty of water is taken but we have never had a member not love these walks as they are spectacular in their own right.
There is a visit to the Ningaloo Visitors ctr mid trip for some souvenirs , an ice cream and snack top ups.
Are there hot showers at camp?
There are no showers at the base camp but we provide a small ( half bucket) of fresh water each day to have a bit of a wash up ( hair and face and feet)etc.. The fact that it is a dry environment minimises the need for showers however we recommend taking baby wipes for a daily clean up.
Is the Base Camp the only campsite we stay at for the 5 days.
We are camped at the same base camp whereby clients can either stay in pre established tents or can swag on the ground for the ultimate outdoor experience which personally blows me away watching the stars each night in fact it is most likely the favourite part of the trip funnily enough. Tents are excellent and mattresses sleeping bags and pillows are always clean and in great shape.
What is the average age of women attending? Women in their 30-65
What kind of food will we be eating? We are camping and staying in a resort. It will be delicious food to keep you energised while kayaking and snorkelling.
Can I bring my own snacks? Yes.
What is a swag? It s a covering that will protect you from the weather and keep your sleeping bag dry at night. Swags have a thin layer mattress, where you sleep on the ground. We also have tent options provided for you.
Are our leaders male or female? Female leaders only.
How much roughly are flights? Roughly $1000 from Sydney to Perth and Perth to Exmouth. You will need to fly in on Saturday for the day before on the 23rd.
What type of toilet facilities will there be? Will I go in the bush? There will be pit toilets for the camping component.
Are their vegetarian options available for meals? Yes! One of our female leaders is vegetarian and a great cook!
Is alcohol provided? No. We do stop off for purchasing alochol before we go camping for 5 days. Our trucks have generated fridges to keep food and drinks cool.
Are we diving or snorkelling with the Whale Sharks? We will be snorkelling from a boat, not scuba diving.
What if I book and then I can't attend? Please read our Terms and Conditions upon booking and notify us in writing as soon as possible, cancellation fees apply.
I didn't get a spot on this trip as it sold out. Will there be another one and when? This is a one off trip for 2018. There will be another trip in 2019.
How will I know what to pack? A packing list will be sent to you upon booking.
Who can I contact for further information? You can contact WWA Founder Monique Farmer via email at email@example.com.
