Women's Behana Gorge Meet Up Walk QLD

Join us for a women's meetup hike at the stunning Behana Gorge, just a 30-minute drive south of Cairns. This beautiful location, vital for supplying Cairns with fresh water from the rainforest, offers more than just its crucial role in the Cairns Regional Council catchment. Imagine walking along a fully sealed track, surrounded by the shade of a dense rainforest, with the soothing sounds of the gorge rapids accompanying us. The hike, suitable for all levels, involves a pleasant 45-minute walk (out and back) on a gently undulating path leading to the breathtaking Clamshell Falls.

Behana Gorge is an oasis of pristine swimming holes, captivating waterfalls, and the tranquil granite gorge. Weather permitting, we might even indulge in a refreshing swim at the base of the waterfall, where a cool swimming hole awaits. Remember to bring along your essential hiking gear: comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, hat, sunscreen, snacks, and insect repellent. And if you're up for a dip, don't forget your togs and towel.

This meetup is an excellent opportunity for us to connect with nature and each other. Behana Gorge, with its stunning natural beauty and serene environment, is the perfect backdrop for our gathering.
