Itinerary

Welcome to the Kanimbla View Retreat! After arriving between 1:30-2:00 pm and getting settled into your room, join us for a group welcome and afternoon tea at 2:30 pm. Stretch your legs and take in the breathtaking views with a 40-minute walk on the property's cliff top path. This easy walk will lead you to several lookouts, the perfect way to watch the sunset before returning to the retreat for a soothing vinyasa yoga class at 4:15 pm.

After working up an appetite, enjoy a delicious plant-based dinner, and then unwind by the indoor fireplace. It's the perfect way to end a day filled with yoga, hiking and relaxation.

Get ready for an adventure-packed day with the Grand Canyon Circuit hike! This 6.3km loop hike is rated as a grade 3 and will take you through stunning canyon scenery, narrow chasms, and enclosed rainforest tunnels. Along the way, we'll stop for a hot beverage and snacks, and take in the breathtaking views from above.

After the hike, we'll head back to the retreat for a well-deserved lunch and some chill time. Later in the afternoon, we'll ease into a relaxing yin yoga class to stretch out our legs and release any tension. As the day comes to an end, enjoy a hearty dinner with wine provided. All meals are included in your itinerary, so sit back, relax, and let us take care of the rest.

Wake up and energize your body and mind with a vinyasa flow yoga class at 6:15 am before fueling up with breakfast. Today, we'll be embarking on the Porters Pass & Centennial Glen hike, a 7km journey through the Blue Mountains landscape that will take you past valley views and lookouts. The hike includes a trek along the precarious Walls Ledge, a descent to a hidden canyon and waterfall, and a return trip along the Centennial Pass Trail.

We'll take rest stops along the way, including a hearty morning tea break before making our way back to the cars for a final farewell. With a mix of steps and uneven terrain, this hike is rated as a grade 3 and will take 2-3 hours to complete.

The weekend of fun and adventure comes to a close at around 1:00-1:30 pm.

Grading

Grading: Easy

This trip is graded as "easy" but with some moderate elements. The Grand Canyon Hike on day 2 includes stairs to reach the canyon floor, but don't let that deter you! We take it slow and make sure to take plenty of breaks. On the first day, you can expect to walk for about 40 minutes, on the second day, the hike will be between 3.5-4 hours and on the last day, it will be between 2-3 hours.

A basic to good level of fitness is recommended for this trip. It's not necessary to have prior bushwalking experience, but we do recommend a baseline of walking fitness. The yoga classes are tailored for beginners, so whether you're a first-time yogi or a regular, you'll be able to enjoy the classes. So come and join us for an easy, yet comfortable and amazing adventure!

Blue Mountains Testimonial

This was my 18th trip with Monique and Women Want Adventure. I love all of them! Thank you Sophie for the incredible meals (maybe my favourite thing). Lots of laughs at night and dancing. I always feel like I am away with a group of friends on a WWA trip. Now I just need to decide what to do next!
