This is a fabulous trip for women looking for an easy adventure with a little kayaking twist on the running water.
We are meeting in Kangaroo Valley which is a short 2-hour drive from Sydney. Our meeting location is at the Safaris Kayaking Shop to park our cars at 9.30am to begin the paddle at 10am for an easy 2.5 hour paddle (5km) from Hampden Brdige through Morton National Park to Bendeela Picnic Area.
No previous kayaking experience necessary. An instructional and safety briefing will be provided by your leader. There are sections of small rapids.
There are 4 sections of very small rapids on the river. The rest of the river will be flat water.
On this trip you will learn the basic paddling and body positioning techniques to help you tackle the rapids.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please Note: Trips depart immediately at the designated Meeting Time at Safaris Kayaking Shop, Kangaroo Valley. Please note it is your responsibility to ensure you are on time and ready for departure. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure.
Meeting Point: 2031 Moss Vale Rd Kangaroo Valley 2577. There is plenty of parking.

SUPPORT WOMEN ON THIS TRIP: Women Want Adventure supports the Share The Dignity Foundation. We want to help make a real, on-the-ground difference to homeless women and victims of domestic violence. Share The Dignity collects thousands of pads, tampons and personal hygiene products every YEAR for women experiencing homelessness and poverty.
If you would like to donate a packat of tampons and pads please bring with you and our leader will collect on the day to send off to Share The Dignity. You can also support the charity be donating or BECOMING A MEMBER with Women Want Advneture HERE.

Yes. You must be over the age of 18 years to attend this trip.

How fit do I need to be?
A basic level of fitness is required. You will be using your upper body and core on the day. The trips is suitable for beginners.
We hope you do not need to cancel your trip, however if cancellation takes place the following will apply:
Please be aware that if a participant cancels their trip once it commences or they do not show they also forfeit their full trip cost. Late arrival of a participant or participants on the day may also forfeit the full trip cost. Women Want Adventure may reduce, transfer or waive the loss of fee for any reason at their sole discretion.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, Women Want Adventure reserves the right to change, alter or cancel this trip in the interests of client safety. Women Want Adventure will notify all participants as soon as possible on the day.
Cancelation due to weather:
Participants will hear from us if we need to cancel the day due to the weather. Participants must assume the day is going ahead if they do not hear from Women Want Adventures otherwise. If participants cancel their trip on the basis of weather (and we have not cancelled it ourselves) no refund will be given. If weather conditions cause us to cancel the trip we will offer alternative dates however if this option is not possible for participants refer to the Women Want Adventure Credit and Refund Policy.
