DESCRIPTION OF WALK:

We will make our way up to Telstra tower summit loop causally. Then enjoy a beautiful walk amongst the eucalyptus around Black Mountain with 360deg views of Canberra. Suitable for first timers!

1. Come through the suburb of O Conner to travel under Belconnen Way to Frith road
2. Turn onto Dryandra St, O Conner
3. Turn onto Frith Road
4. At end of Frith Road Park at the Sub Station

* Our free meet ups are held by Volunteers who are Members in our community. Please give them a big hug on arrival. They have been selected because they are wonderful, supportive and know the trail you're walking well.

FAQ S:

Are there bathrooms at the meeting place? No

Can I turn up individually? Of course! Please come and meet other like-minded women in the Canberra area. We are very friendly!

Do I need to be really fit to attend this hike? This walk is suitable for all fitness levels. We walk at a slow pace and stop for rest breaks all the time.

Are there steps involved? Yes, though less then 10 steps. You can do it!

What will be the pace of the walk? Slow. I ve completed this walk in 6.5 hours at a leisurely pace with stops for geocaches. The 2 hour timeframe leaves plenty of time for breaks and photo opportunities.

Can I bring my daughter, she's 15? Sorry. Women Want Adventure is a community group for women over the age of 18 years only.

Do I need to register or can I just turn up on the day? You must register for this walk. We only take 15 women on these hikes and want to know who is coming on the day.
