Western Australia's Women’s Ningaloo Reef Sea Kayaking Adventure and Whale Shark Expedition is one of our best trips yet. 

Incorporating a 5 Night Base Camp in the Cape Range National Park West of Exmouth and a full day of snorkelling with Whale Sharks on Ningaloo Reef, we have packaged up a deal that ensures we experience the best of this incredible area - adventure style. 

TRIP SUMMARY:

Day 1: Fly to Perth and onto Exmouth. Transfer to private bush base camp

Day 2-5: Sea Kayaking Snorkelling Adventure in the Ningaloo Reef Lagoon

Day 6: Head to the MantaRays Resort for a 2 night luxury 4.5 star stay

Day 7: Whale Shark Expedition and swimming (whole day) + Farewell dinner

Day 8: Depart Exmouth for return to Perth

Women’s Western Australia's Ningaloo Reef Sea Kayaking Adventure - 5 Days of Sea Kayaking on West Australia's Ningaloo Marine Park. This important coastal zone protects one of Australia’s most important tracts of reef - the Ningaloo Reef. It is one of the longest fringing reef systems in the world and only one of two coral reefs in the world that have formed on the western side of a continent. The Ningaloo Marine park stretches from Bundegi Beach near Exmouth for 260 km along the West Coast to Amherst Point south of Coral Bay. The name 'Ningaloo' comes from the local Aboriginal people and means a 'promontory' or 'point' of high land jutting into the sea.

Our Adventure begins in Exmouth in May, which is the optimum viewing time for Whale Sharks and the Waters of Ningaloo Reef are in absolute abundance. Quality Sea Kayaking, Snorkelling at every opportunity and some great inland gorge walks in ancient river canyons makes this adventure the trip of a lifetime where quintessential Australian landscape meets the Ocean in an explosion of life and colour. 

This is a women’s only trip where beginners are welcome. You don’t need any previous kayaking or camping experience. Most women who attend our trips, attending individually. We are a very welcoming community and support everyone who attends.

Itinerary

Meet at Perth Airport for our Flight to Exmouth and transfer to our Private Bush Base Camp at "Bungelup" in the Cape Range National Park. Set up of our Swag or Tent Accommodation (your choice of either but we recommend the swag for the thousand star hotel feel at night and the sunrises over the range) and settle in for dinner and our first night in the Western Australian Bush. Camping gear included. Accommodation: Swag/tent camping at Cape Range National Park Meals: Dinner
Sea Kayaking Snorkelling Adventure in the Ningaloo Reef Lagoon with vehicle transfers every day to and from our base in the Cape Range National Park. Our Kayaking Trip will lead you up or down the Coast experiencing all that the Ningaloo Reef has to offer. Daily snorkelling in the safe shallow calm clear Indian Ocean Reefs. Several beautiful walks into the desert gorges of Yardi Creek and Mandu Mandu make this a trip to remember. Accommodation: Swag/tent camping at Cape Range National Park Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + Snacks x4 Hiking: (short walks) To Yardi Creek and Mandu Mandu
Pack up camp after a day kayaking and head to the MantaRays Resort for a 2 night luxury 4.5 star stay and relax knowing you have seen the best of the Ningaloo Reef Region. Accommodation: MantaRays 4.5 Resort Meals: Breakfast, Lunch. (dinner at groups own cost)
Whale Shark Expedition on board "Draw Card". This is a once in a Lifetime adventure swimming and Snorkeling with these incredible Creatures. Protected in Australia, the whale sharks cruise the Ningaloo Reef eating plankton from the surface enabling the perfect interaction for us to get up close and personal to these unbelievable fish. A full day of adventure including return transfers from Exmouth, snacks and lunch. Accommodation: MantaRays 4.5 Resort Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Farewell dinner at hotel restaurant (drinks not included)
Depart Exmouth for return to Perth and on to Sydney or the next Adventure. We will be at the Exmouth Airport in the afternoon for the 1 flight per day to Perth for our onward travels. Meals: Hotel breakfast

  • Whale Shark Snorkelling Adventure with spotter planes to locate and ensure the best chance of seeing these magnificent creatures
  • Snorkelling daily on the incredible Ningaloo Reef Complex - The worlds Largest fringe reef system
  • All Meals whilst on Expedition and on Whale Shark Adventure
  • All Kayaking and snorkelling equipment and all camping gear and meals on the trip
EXCLUDED:
  • All flights. Ladies must book flights to Perth and flight to and from exmouth. We will assist you with what flights to catch with your confirmation email. 
  • Compulsory Travel Insurance (Roughly $60-90) depending on your age. 
  • Last night dinner, we usually go out as a group in town and it is so much fun!

Grading

Grading: Easy

This trip is suitable for beginners. You don't need any previous kayaking experince. We will explain and teach you all the techniques to paddle in a double kayak. We do ask that if you book this trip, you are a comfortable swimmer.

I don't have words, just the best memories EVER! I feel so very luck to have been on this adventure. I loved every minute of it and the whale shark was something I will never ever forget. From the laughs at camp to kayaking and camping, it really doesn't get any better. I can't recommend this trip enough. Do it! Best time of my life!

The Ningaloo trip was perfection. Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Reef are just beautiful. The trip leaders were awesome. Personable, knowledgeable, supportive and amazing cooks. The facilities and the food, for the fact you are in the middle of nowhere were outstanding. The pace was very Goldilocks, not too busy, not too slow, but Just Right. Plenty of time to relax while still seeing so many sights. Nothing was too strenuous and the trip leaders made you feel confident that you could participate safely in both the snorkeling and kayaking. Ending with two nights at the resort and an amazing whale shark experience. Who could ask for more.
