Women Want Adventure is kicking of our Queensland Women s Trips with a One-Day Abseiling and Rock Climbing Adventure at Point Danger.

This trip is designed for women with little or no previous experience. It s the ideal introduction to outdoor abseiling and rock climbing and the location is suitable for all skill levels. All equipment is set up and supplied by Women Want Adventure and the experienced qualified instructors are there to give you all the help you need all you have to do is show up and bring your sense of adventure with you!

We begin the day with a safety briefing and training session. This includes learning skills on fitting a harness and the use of descending devices, familiarisation with the important safety procedures and how to use the correct abseiling skills and techniques.

After our abseil down the rock wall we will be learning climbing techniques to make our way back up the wall! There are plenty of routes on the wall for all skill levels. Throughout the day you will learn the difference between top-rope climbing, leading, sport and trad, to inspire you with adventure ideas and help you decide whether you want to take your climbing further.

About Point Danger:

Point Danger at Coolangatta offers a totally unique opportunity to experience outdoor climbing and abseiling right on our doorstep. With views of the Surfers Paradise skyline to the north, Tweed Heads to the south and beautiful Rainbow Bay and Duranbah beach directly below you simply couldn't ask for a more picturesque or convenient location.

The cliffs have a height of approximately 15 metres with a number of climbs ranging from grades 8 17 making it suitable for both beginners and more advanced climbers. There's even picnic area's with BBQ facilities to kick back at afterwards.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes. You must be over the age of 18 years to attend this trip.

What if it's raining?

Women Want Adventure will be in contact with you in regards to weather conditions that may cause a cancelation of a trip. If this is the cause, you will recieve a full refund of your order.

What's the cancellation policy?

We hope you do not need to cancel your trip, however if cancellation takes place more than 60 days prior to your departure date, you will be refunded any amounts paid, less a 20% admin fee. If cancellation takes place between 60 and 30 days prior to your departure date, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited. If cancellation takes place less than 30 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited. Transfers from one person to another will not be permitted.

In the unlikely event of adverse weather conditions, Women Want Adventure reserves the right to change, alter or cancel this trip in the interests of client safety. Women Want Adventure will happily refund monies paid in the event that Extreme Wind or Dangerous Conditions be present at or before the commencement of the Women's Kayaking Adventure. Women Want Adventure will notify you by text at between 6am - 6.30am on the morning of the activity in the event of cancellation. Please ensure mobile phones are on and accessible at this time to ensure messages are received.
