Looking for a weekend at the snow with an amazing group of new friends? Have a spare Friday and Saturday night? We have created an incredibly fun weekend at the snow!

If you re a bit of a thrill-seeker looking for an adrenaline rush or perhaps a beginner skier who likes to drink hot chocolate after a few runs, then the Women Want Adventure Snow Weekend is definitely for you.

Whether you re a pro, intermediate or beginner on the slopes, our ski and snowboarding weekend is suitable for women who love the snow - at all levels. You can attend on your own or with a friend. We welcome everyone!

In our opinion, a skiing and snowboarding Women s Weekend is one of the best types of adventures you can have - not only do you get that adrenaline pumping, but coming back to a wine with laughs about the day with new friends is what we're all about. We wanted to created an opportunity for women to get to the snow who are looking for a supportive and fun group to go with. Here we are!

ABOUT:

We are heading to Perisher Resort which is situated in the Kosioscko National Park. There is a variety of skiing and boarding options. We get the Ski Tube to Blue Cow and head out from there.

Over the weekend, Women Want Adventure offer two nights accommodation in Jindabyne Blue Gum Cottages and two-day lift passes for Saturday and Sunday included. We will be catching the SKI TUBE up to Perisher which is also included in your purchase price.

This is the perfect opportunity to ski or snowboard with a great group of like-minded women with a range of skill abilities. From beginner to advanced, we pair off in smaller groups throughout the day and organise meet ups on the slopes. We make sure everyone on the trip is safe, feels comfortable and never skis alone.

Options for ski or snowboarding lessons are available and can be organised closer or on the day. This is not included in the cost price.

FOOD:

Dinner is provided on Friday night at the Jindabyne Cottage. Just turn up after your long drive. We have it all sorted!

On Saturday night we have options to rug up and take a short stroll to eat out at one of the many great restaurants in Jindabyne. There is great nightlife and places for the group to have a relaxing night after a full day on the slopes.

For breakfast, we re up early and offer breakfast options in our own kitchen where we can cook and prepare meals. This helps the group get ready and get to the tube early (first lifts) and have a great start to the day. Healthy options for fruit, gluten free and warm oats are on the menu!

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes. All attendees must be over the age of 18 years of age. Sorry, No exceptions.

How many ladies will there be in total?

9 ladies to attend the trip and your Leader Monique. We will ski/board in experience groups as well as a whole group. Ladies have the option to go off in groups 2-3 and ski where you wish within the boundaries of the Perisher Resort.

I don't have a 4WD to drive up the mountain. Does this matter?

No. We suggest if you can get access to a 4WD for the weekend it will make the trip and hassle of putting on chains much easier. It is nog highly likely you need chains to drive to the Tube Station although on occasions this can happen. We will have enough cars to sort options for lifts up to the Tube Station.

Do I need to bring my own dinner?

You are most welcome as we have a kitchen. We will be going out as a group to the restaurant on Satuday night to have a dinner but you are welcome to prepare meals at the lodge. We provide a yummy breakfast each morning and dinner on Friday night is provided.

Do I need to know how to Ski or Snowboard?

We recommend you have prior experience before attending this trip. We encourage you if you are a beginner to still attend, although you will be advised to go into a lesson for the day or half day. We make sure if you are experienced you are in a smaller group to suit your ability.

Where do I hire my gear from?

Hire shops are open late in Jindabyne. We recommend the BP service station. They are quick for service and have great gear. We will let you know about getting a discount at this store closer to the date.

What time do we leave Sunday morning?

We will need to be out by 10am from the cottage. What we will do is place all our gear in the storage room so after our day on the slopes we can come back and have a nice hot shower!

I want to attend but I don't want to drive on my own. Is there an option for car pooling from Sydney or elsewhere?

Yes. Depending on where the ladies all live, we will open a Facebook Group to connect everyone and see who is driving and can offer lifts.

What if I get sick or have an injury and cannot attend?

If You are prevented from attending a trip as a result of illness, the death of an immediate family member, jury service, or other reason beyond your control which we consider significant, we will agree to your booking being transferred to another person who satisfies all the conditions applicable to the trip, subject to You and the other person accepting liability for full payment of the trip cost and any additional costs arising from the transfer provided that we must be given at least 21 days written notice of the proposed change, otherwise cancelation from illness/injury apply.
