FAQ'S

How do we get water on the trip? There are streams all throughout the back country to re-fill water. We also melt snow.

Is my sleeping bag warm enough, it's -5? No. You will need a rating of at least -15 sleeping bag.

How heavy are the tents and do we share? You will share a portion of the tent to carry which is no more than 1kg. You share with another woman on the trip, trust us, it's the warmer option.

Can I bring my own snacks like chocolate or a bar? Of course!

What pants do I walk in during the day? Walk in overpants that are waterproof like this example here. You can wear thermal pants underneath.

Is there showers at the snow huts where we camp? No hot showers. We suggest you bring wet wipes (you will need to carry them out to dispose) or you can bring a small towel to wash your face in the streams. It is cold!

What shoes do we wear in the snow shoes? Wear what you are comfortable to walk in such as hiking boots or trail runners. We wear Neos overshoes OVER your hiking shoe or joggers that is waterproof. This then clips into the snowshoe.

I don't have a 4WD, can I still come? Yes, please check in with us. Usually there are a few women in the group who have a 4WD and you can drive share from Jindy to Guthega start location.

* All prices are per person and listed in Australian Dollars (AUD). All prices shown are GST inclusive where applicable.
