Grading

Grading: Moderate

To fully enjoy the Wharf to Wharf walking track, participants are required to have a moderate level of fitness. The hike involves carrying a full overnight pack with personal and shared group gear, and participants should expect to be hiking for around 6-7 hours each day. While we take regular breaks and support each other throughout the journey, it's essential to be able to walk comfortably across loose terrain, up and down steps, and around rocky cliffs and inlet crossings. It is recommended to bring walking poles for extra support.

This trip is graded moderate, requiring some previous bushwalking experience, but it's not essential if you haven't been overnight hiking before. However, participants must be in good health and physical condition to tackle this adventure safely.

FAQ

If you're someone who enjoys physical activity and the great outdoors, then this trip is perfect for you! Please note that the trip is graded as moderate due to two days of hiking on beaches, trails, and rocky sections. As a result, a good level of fitness and mobility is required. During the trip, we will traverse rocky terrain, hike up hills and steps while carrying an overnight pack of approximately 15kg. Get ready to challenge yourself and have an amazing time!

Certainly! Please inform us in advance, so that we can avoid bringing any additional gear on your behalf.

Provided we are advised in advance we are able to cater for vegetarian diets, and can assist with food intolerances. Please ensure you discuss your requirements with us at least a month prior to your trip to determine whether we can cater for your dietary needs. We do not cater for FODMAP on this trip.

Almost everyone! Welcome to the community. Most women turn up individually to our trips to connect with others and make friends with like-minded women who enjoy getting outdoors.

As part of our group experience, we encourage sharing of group meal items and sometimes cooking equipment. Rest assured that we will assist you in arranging your pack, and you need not worry about allowing additional space. Prior to setting off, we will go over the packing process to ensure that everything is in order. Please note that each person will be responsible for carrying their own 9L small food bag.
